Lansing Roller Derby is welcoming the public back for in person and live stream viewing of the second half of their 2022 home season. After taking the month of July off, the teams have been redrafted for another 4-part round robin series.
The first half of this year the team had enough members to break up into 4 home teams. The second part of this season has changed to include some outside competition, but still continuing intraleague scrimmaging.
On Saturday October 15th, the doubleheader will start at 5:30pm featuring B-level teams Lansing Roller Derby v Northern Michigan mixed. The second bout will start at 7:30pm with the Lansing Roller Derby intraleague game.
The doors will be open at Court One Training Center, 7868 Old M-78, East Lansing, MI, at 5:00pm. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door only. Adult tickets are $15, and children 12 and under get in free (one per paying adult). Concessions and adult beverages are now offered in house.
If you’re unable to watch in person, the game will be live streamed, starting at 5:00pm, on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjs2JEmxWPOy3iWY9bgZ8BQ The rules of roller derby can be quite confusing, so make sure to watch the informational videos before the first bout starts.
The Mayfair Bar will be hosting the after party at 9:30pm for those who would like to celebrate with the teams afterwards.
